New muse
It was a very hot Thursday afternoon. So hot I was glad to be inside a Fred Meyer's shopping for cleaning liquids, wash cloths, kitchen towels and the like. My mom will be here this Tuesday and I do have a lot of scrubbing to do.
But the good part about all this is my latest addition to the shoe closet. The Osho chappal.
I've had similar pairs before. There were ones with the velvet straps which I hated. I also hated the roundedness at the toes. I only liked mine with the thin lining, braided straps and square ended toes. I'd harrass my friends to bring me these from the tiny stalls on Linking Road, Mumbai. At 50 bucks a pair, I absolutely didn't mind having them in blue, pink, gold, purple, silver and brown... all at the same time.
This one is a little different though. Nothing metallic about it. No braided straps either. Just a thin lining of pretty white flowers on a blue background. The best thing about it? I get it in a size 10. I don't have to force my feet in or cut my toes for my heel to have a sole underneath.
