I scream, you scream, we all scream for iPhone
I've never worked harder for anything else.
My day began at half past 5. With eyes half shut, I managed to throw on a pair of jeans and a top from the dirty laundry basket (yeah, I still haven't found the stolen one).
We drove down to the nearest AT&T store at the Pacific Place Mall only to notice that there were already 27 of them who beat us. We took out our portable chair and found our place at the end of the line. A guy walked in after us with a pillow and blanket.
Boy made me wait in the line, went to Starbucks and returned with the New York Times as well. We saw pictures and read reviews of the gizmo that was released yesterday. I let out a sigh, remembering that when I went to the store yesterday at 9.30 am (the store opened at 9), they were already sold out, and was asked to return today.
So return we did. While waiting for the store to open, the nice people from AT&T gave us free Mini cookies and Goldfish crackers. They answered queries, showed us demos and showed off the accessories we were very tempted to buy.
Being the 28th in line meant we definitely were getting our 8GB, 3G black beauty. We didn't mind having to wait at all. We all cheered when the store opened. As each one of us were called into the store, high fives were passed around. And as we walked out of the store, jealous grins of those still waiting in line.

satish: You won't believe how many times I look at it everyday. And I get the cheapest thrills in taking it out in public for the rest of the world to ogle.
